Repent and believe

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
- Mark 1:15

These are the words of Jesus Himself.
 

Notice three things:

1. “The time is fulfilled” — the promised Savior has come; the moment long foretold has arrived.

2. "the kingdom of God is at hand" - God’s reign has drawn near and demands a response

3. "repent and believe in the gospel" -

• How do we do that? -  Jesus is not making a suggestion - He is issuing a command.

• What is the Gospel? - This is not something left undefined - do you know what it is?

• Have you done this? - notice urgency - when, exactly, should this response be delayed?
